 the other day we were writing out of three of Uranus moons I picked Titania.

sailing experience

Yesterday on the  22 march 2021 the year 7 and 8s went to Taipa sailing club to go out and learn how to sail in the open ocean. we got on the bus and started to head out to Taipa. we arrived and went to go sit in the shade while the instructors told us what we were doing.

We split up into two groups and the first group done sailing and the second group was doing the three activitys that we were assigned to rotate on, the three activitys were making different types of knots, the next one was trying to make a rope pull up 12 kgs and trying to lift it up with things that lift the sail on a sailing boat and the last activity was too make a boat out of tinfoil and see how much pebbles it could hold without sinking.

When we were ready to go out to sail in the deep ocean we got in our boats with our partners (I was with Sofia) we all got in a line of boats and got tied up to the instructors boat to get towed out to sea. when we got out we had to follow were the instructors boat was going on our own. at first I was the one controling the ruter and my partner Sofia was doing the sail. we got to capsize our own boat and jump out, we had to sail around and grab as much balls in the ocean as we could and who ever got the most balls won.

Goal setting term 1.

1. I will not complain to my parents by not talking back and to listen straight away.

2. I will get better in division by practicing how to solve it or to remember the answers and to work more on it.

3. I want to read more out of school by that I will need to get more big books with more efficient words.

4. I will focus on getting my maths level higher in  my grades and go out of my comfort zone in equasions.

How will I achieve my goals: by actually standing by my goals and actually do them or try to achieve them.

 Today we had Manaiaklani we done a blog post analysis. we had to get a Google form and add the amount of posts we done each month. then it came up with a bar graph.

Aroha island camp reflection.

Last week Tui and Kereru had our end of year camp. We did many cool activity's like Kiwi searching, kayaking and hiking. It was very fun and while we were doing the hiking we were lucky to find a bridge going straight on top of the water and it looks like your walking on water. This was fun because it was kind of like a sleepover with all of your friends. we done all of this to show people that the world is worthy of our help.

Last week we have been doing a brochure on Maitai Bay. We had to include information about the rahui and what activities you can do there, we also had to include pictures that have something to do with the topic(Like how there is a question that says where is Maitai Bay I put a picture of where it is on the map.

Reflection:

What did I learn? that Maitai bay is a protected Marine reserve.

What did I find challenging? I found that describing my questions in a way that other people can understand but still trying to add descriptive words.

What could I improve on? I think that I can improve on adding more description.
