My wolf collage art.

I.A.L.T upload and reflect on my wolf collage art.

On Thursday we started to pick and sketch out wolf to day we started to glue on little pieces of newspaper, to prep for this you will need

Magazines (with your desired colours)

Next get an A3 piece of coloured paper and fold it in half,

Print out a wolf face and put the printed wolf into the middle of the folded paper and put it onto a window and sketch it out onto the coloured paper,

When your done that, get the magazine and rip out little pieces of the colours you want it to fit into the sketch (the smaller the pieces the better it will turn out)

Once all done it should look really nice.

REFLECTION:

What did I enjoy? I enjoyed finding all of the coloured pieces and sticking it on (it was like a puzzle)

What did I find challenging? I found that getting all the pieces on, because of my hands being so sticky.

QUESTION: have you done this kind of art before.

Kiwi can

I.A.L.T upload and reflect on our Kiwi can lesson.
Today we had Kiwi can, we are still learning about accountability as we will be doing for the rest of the term our catch phrase was we are honest we are true we take responsibility for what we do.
Our first game was called bang, in this game we would be in a circle and when someone would call out a name that person has to sit-down and the people beside them had to say bang as fast as they can and the last one to say it sits down until there is a winner. Our second game was called the colour game, when someone calls a colour in Maori they have to wind a line on the floor in that colour, we had the colour blue-kahurangi, white-ma, brown-parouri, black-pango, for white we went to a wall and for brown we went to the floor next to the door. The last game was called traffic lights, in this game everyone goes to one side of the room and one  adult goes to theoretically side and if the say green-kakariki you run, if they say yellow-kowhai that means walk and if they say red-whero you stop, to win you have to touch the person at the other side of the room first. our last game was called clap jump walk and stop, in this game you have to walk around and if they do the wrong action there out.

REFLECTION:
what did I enjoy? I enjoyed learning the catch phrase and learning the meaning of accountability.
what did I find challenging? I found that learning about accountibility so fast is very challenging.

QUESTION: have you played any of these games before?

Waitangi trip.

I.A.L.T upload and reflect on waitangi.
yesterday, on Tuesday we went to Waitangi in Paihia. Waitangi is a museum that has wakas, paintings, and carvings. there's even a classroom that has computers and more to learn. In that classroom we done coding on scratch, and even had lunch outside in the beautiful sunshine. that day was so fun, we talked about carvings and trying to find the story to it, like in one of them it had a man that set out to find a octopus that had wrecked boats, and the man you can see has killed the octopus. It was so beautiful there and it was kinda like butterfly Creek in Auckland.

REFLECTION:
what did I enjoy? I enjoyed learning about the story's of Maori and coding on scratch.

Kiwi can.

I.A.L.T upload and reflect on Kiwi can.

Today our class had Kiwi can, our main focus for the term was about accountability, accountability is being true and honest and owning up to your actions, that is why our catch phrase was we are honest, we are true, we take ownership of what we do. we played 3 games , the first game was called high tide, low tide, this is how you play the game, so everyone gets a chair and you put it in a circle and someone says either low tide or high tide and if its high tide you stand up and if it's low tide you sit down, if your too slow or do the wrong one your out and you sit down on the floor in front of you chair, in this game our Kiwi canners Jodicy and Shail added in another rule, it was if they say eyes up you do it and if the say eyes down you also do it. Our next game was called impossible connections, this game was were you all dance around to some music stops someone says a number and a body part and you have to get into a group of that much people and you have to be all connected touching that body part, when you've done that you sit down and the last group to sit down or if you don't have a group your out. and at the end of each session we do a game called GKQ, this is a quiz game and we always have a different buzzer, like touch your toes and say your name and many more.

My geometric art.

I.A.L.T upload my learning tasks to my blog and write about them.

This week and last week we have been working on some animal geometric art, for my one I chose a wolf, I chose a wolf because it is one of my favourite animals, I found that finding where to put all of the geometric lines interesting, if you don't know how to do it here is the steps.

1. Choose an animal,
2. Draw your animals outline to a white piece of paper,
3. Turn the non straight lines into straight lines,
4. Fill your animal with geometric lines you could also use zentangle patterns,
5. Lastly colour I as much as you want to or leave it blank.

What did I enjoy:
I enjoyed experimenting with the lines,
What did I do well:
I think I done well on they outline,
what could I improve on:
I could improve on the colours.
