I.A.L.T write and reflect about our Marine session with Oliver.
Yesterday we had our first session with Oliver, Oliver is a person from the Marine reserves program, we went to Te Punawai ora pools, when we arrived we all lined up in a single file line and got fitted into our wetsuits, got our snorkel and flippers, then went into the changing rooms to put it all on. When we were done we waited for all of the others to get into there wet suits, a couple of times I had to help some other people get into their wet suits because I was the first one done and, the were a bit frustrated. We got into a group of non-confidential swimmers and confident ones, (I was a confident swimmer) we got into a buddy, grabbed a boogy board and sat down on the edge of the pool(the goal for these activity's was to stay with your partner) we got into the pool and went in a line to swim around the pool and try to stay with your partner (my partner kept swimming away).REFLECTION:
What did I find challenging? I found that blowing out all of the water from the snorkelling was hard because there was still a little bit left.
What did you enjoy? I liked going down to the bottom and holding my breath.
What is one of your goals you have to do with your ability in the water? hold my breath longer so that I can go under for longer than I do know.

ReplyDeleteI really liked how you explained what you did.
I learnt that you are a confident swimmer.
Maybe next time you could ask your teacher to video you and your partner?
