our Kiwi can lesson.

I.A.L.T upload and reflect on our Kiwi can lesson.
Today we had Kiwi can, at Kiwi can we do games and learn about our values, our value for the term is integrity, for Kiwi can this week we done three games, our warm up was stop, walk, clap and jump, when someone said one of them we had to do it and when we got further into the game they started to switch it up a little bit so they done like stop means walk and more. our 2nd game wasn't really a game it was were you get into a team of 3 or 4 and you got a piece of paper and you had to see what it said on it and you had to write down responses, our last game was called traffic lights if you don't know what traffic lights is it is a game were someone says red, green and orange and you got to do what it says red was stop green was go and orange was walk.

This was fun because it is very energetic,

I found this challenging to hear what they were saying,

QUESTION: do you do Kiwi can?

dress up my sentence, the door slammed.

W.A.L.T write about our writing task from the past week.

Last week we done a task called dress up a sentence, dress up a sentence is where you get a piece of paper and take a noun and try to make out what it's doing, my class done one on the door slammed.
EG: doing words, my class done one on the door slammed.

This task was good because other then just saying it, were actually described how it would be like to be there.

I think I done well on making all of my words into a full sentence

I think I can improve on finding more doing words.

QUESTION: can you dress up a sentence?"

Learning how to use a protractor.

I.A.L.T write about a learning task from the week.
PROTRACTORS - Celco Protractor 180 Degree 10cm - Paper Plus
This week for maths we have been learning how to use a protractor to measure and draw angles. If you don't know what a protractor is it is a type of ruler that you use to measure angles, such as acute, obtuse, full, straight, right and a reflex angle.

I think using a protractor is hard at the start then when you get used to it it's very easy. This is how you use a protractor:

1. figure out what angle it is, this helps to get a point of view what it might add up to
2. match the line with the bottom zero
3.match up the hole in the middle to the middle of the angle that should be marked with a circle or a square
4. Put the protractor where the zero with the line
5.find the measurement is by finding which number the Ray is at.

QUESTION: do you know how to use a protractor,or are you learning to use a protractor.

Our writing template.

I.A.L.T reflect on our writing template senses.

For our writing we done a template as a plan, in this template there is all five senses Taste, Feel, Look, Smell and Sound there is one sense in each box underneath it you write down something you did in one word put it into the right senses box, at least do 3 words in each sense.

This was fun because you had to find out what senses box it belongs in,

I think next time I could find out more senses in my object,

QUESTION: do you know what senses are?

Our Matariki art.

I.A.L.T reflect our art task and explain how to make it in steps.

Last week we done Matariki stars art to celebrate Maori new year/Matariki.

 1. Print and cut out 4 star shapes, 2 big ones and 2 small ones, if don't have you can trace it out,

2. Draw Maori patterns in each star,

3. Colour in your star,

4. Stick all of your stars on to Black paper from biggest to smallest,

5. Cut it out so there is a little bit of space in between the black paper and the stars.

This was fun because it was a fun way to expirement with colours and patterns.

QUESTION: do you have the supplies at home to do a Matariki star of your own?1

first kiwi can of the term.

W.A.L.T reflect on our first kiwi can for the term.

It was our first kiwi can of the term, our catch phrase was right is right even if no one is doing it, wrong is wrong even if everyone is doing it, this was our catch phrase because this term we are focusing on Integrity. We done two games for Kiwi can our warm up was terminator tag and our last game was good or bad game in this game we got shown pictures and two people were standing on the opposite each other and they held up one picture each one said good job and the other said bad job if the picture was bad/good we went to the one we thought was right for the picture, when we got there we had to say why we thought that.
the next game was terminator tag, terminator tag was were every one was in and if they tagged somebody they sit down and if they tagged at the same time they did rock paper scissors and the one who lost sat down and waited until someone tagged them and won.
