Learning how to use a protractor.

I.A.L.T write about a learning task from the week.
PROTRACTORS - Celco Protractor 180 Degree 10cm - Paper Plus
This week for maths we have been learning how to use a protractor to measure and draw angles. If you don't know what a protractor is it is a type of ruler that you use to measure angles, such as acute, obtuse, full, straight, right and a reflex angle.

I think using a protractor is hard at the start then when you get used to it it's very easy. This is how you use a protractor:

1. figure out what angle it is, this helps to get a point of view what it might add up to
2. match the line with the bottom zero
3.match up the hole in the middle to the middle of the angle that should be marked with a circle or a square
4. Put the protractor where the zero with the line
5.find the measurement is by finding which number the Ray is at.

QUESTION: do you know how to use a protractor,or are you learning to use a protractor.

Our writing template.

I.A.L.T reflect on our writing template senses.

For our writing we done a template as a plan, in this template there is all five senses Taste, Feel, Look, Smell and Sound there is one sense in each box underneath it you write down something you did in one word put it into the right senses box, at least do 3 words in each sense.

This was fun because you had to find out what senses box it belongs in,

I think next time I could find out more senses in my object,

QUESTION: do you know what senses are?

2. Draw Maori patterns in each star,

3. Colour in your star,

4. Stick all of your stars on to Black paper from biggest to smallest,

5. Cut it out so there is a little bit of space in between the black paper and the stars.

first kiwi can of the term.

W.A.L.T reflect on our first kiwi can for the term.

It was our first kiwi can of the term, our catch phrase was right is right even if no one is doing it, wrong is wrong even if everyone is doing it, this was our catch phrase because this term we are focusing on Integrity. We done two games for Kiwi can our warm up was terminator tag and our last game was good or bad game in this game we got shown pictures and two people were standing on the opposite each other and they held up one picture each one said good job and the other said bad job if the picture was bad/good we went to the one we thought was right for the picture, when we got there we had to say why we thought that.
the next game was terminator tag, terminator tag was were every one was in and if they tagged somebody they sit down and if they tagged at the same time they did rock paper scissors and the one who lost sat down and waited until someone tagged them and won.

Second kiwi can lesson.

W.A.L.T Write a reflection on our 2nd lesson with kiwi can.

Every Wednesday we have kiwi can with Jodece and Shail, our catch phrase for the week was when times get tough we don't disapere we bounce back up and persavere, we had that catch phrase because we have been learning about resilience and perseverance.

we played a cool game called octupus and, this game was challenging because we mixed up the rules a bit EG we made the taggers stand on one foot.

And we also done a game called car, bike and airplane in this game someone will stand in front of all the others and they call out either car, airplane, bike and park it, you have to do whatever one they say and if they call out park it you have to stop and if they say anything else and you move you have to go back to the start, to win you have to get to the end without getting any thing and get to the person and high five them.

My reading task. becoming a martian selling the book.

W.A.L.T upload one of our reading task,

One of our reading tasks was to do a Google drawing of an advertisement, trying to sell the book.
Miss Thompson even said to put a price on it and it was just like a real book selling poster,
I really liked this reading task because our big focus has been on space and it was fun making a price for the book.
Next time I could improve on not using so much ands in my blog and instead use also or ETC.
